First completely finished quilt :)

This is the first quilt I've actually finished, tying and binding and everything. I've made several tops, but never seem to quite get around to finishing them!! I gave it to my friend who is pregnant with her first, a boy. I made it using umbrellamaker's spreadsheet pattern, it's amazing how totally different the same pattern looks!! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=296808.0 It went really quickly, as it is all borders basically, I made the top in two afternoons, and tied and (machine) stitched the binding in another. I felt like a cop-out machine stitching the binding, but it was for her babyshower and really wanted it to be finished!! I also wanted to have it quilted, but my moms machine broke and mine isn't up to the task, so it was tied in the sake of time.  So all in all, a really easy quilt! umbrellamaker said her quilt was 40" square, but mine was more like 46", don't know how that could have happened, I used all her measurements. Definitely was big enough for a baby without the last 2 borders, but it is so much more fun! Enough rambling, on to the pics!

the backing is the rocketship fabric, had to piece it because it was just a littttle too big for a square piece of 45 wide. . I just folded over the backing for the binding--soo easy!
