where to find soles?

I am making some leather flats and I need soles. So far my googling efforts have not turned up anything. Any ideas on where to get soles?

I found these as replacement soles...but I don't see why something like this wouldn't work.

OK, so just keeping my eye opened in different stores I found these:

Ace Hardware, rubber sheets in the plumbing area, there were also cork sheets that could be used as coaster backs!


These were at Wal-Mart in the automotive department.  Theyre for putting on side steps to get into big vehicles, but theyre really thick and have uber traction!

Place and stick floor tiles can be made into soles by cutting a shoe shape slightly smaller than the shoe top.  They have adhesive on them, and stick well to fabric-very well, so position carefully.  The tiles are 3/$1 at the dollar store, and I can cut a pair of sz 8 soles from one tile.  I sand the bottoms lightly so they are not slippery.  If you want a flat heel, layer 4-5 layers of tile just on the heel area after making the sole.
