Hey here are my new favorite summer shoes! I saw this idea on another thread and had to try it out. I bought a cheap pair of white mens boat shoes from K-mart. Then I just painted them red with white polka dots using regular old acrylic craft paint. No sealer! No textile medium! I wore them in the rain yesterday and they still look as good as new.

They're not done yet though! I'm gonna paint a little swallow on the top of the right one (the one that's only a little dotted)

I don't like stenciling. It's way easier for me to just freehand everything, its faster and less messy. Thanks Y'all. Vans are crap. If you're gonna buy cheaply made shoes, they should actually be cheap to buy!

Thank you so much! They're not quite so flawless close up!  I just did them free hand by imagining a little diamond grid pattern when I painted them.
