Raccoon Mario rug is featured in February's issue of Nintendo Power!!!  It's on shelves now!  I will try to scan the article this weekend!

It was also featured in December's issue of Play Magazine, but they never asked for my permission to use the images or at least notify me that it'd be featured...someone messaged me on Flickr about it, so now I have no chance of getting that issue...what do I do!

I do actually believe you can buy back issues of magazines.  I dont know which issue it is you're looking for but http://www.imagineshop.co.uk/products_show.php?typeID=41 this link might help, failing their official shop you can often find old mags on ebay.  It sucks that they didnt ask your permission.

My brother gets this magazine in the mail and I always like to read them from back to front. When I saw your rug I was like I know this from somewhere! Congrats on being featured, your rug looks awesome! Smiley

I made an Excel spreadsheet with columns and formulas detailing the number of granny squares needed for each color, then used this to track my daily progress (like a true geek, haha) and motivate me to keep out-doing myself.

Wait---how'd you do that?? That sounds like an interesting and helpful method to making a pattern

Whoaaaaah that is like the coolest thing ever!! I didn't realize it was that big till I scrolled down. O.O I know if I made something like that for my hubby (btw I wouldn't have that much patience for) he would invite over all of his friends to look at the EPIC rug!!

you inspired me to make an 8-bit afghan for my boyfriend! it's link to the past, using granny squares like you did. unfortunately, i decided to make it rectangular. i'm gonna have to make over 500 grey squares as fill in.
