- Participant has agreed that he/she is at least 13 years old: YES Details of swap:For this swap you may either make something that is on your partner’s wists or something based on something from their wists. For instance, if someone had lots of cat items on their wist then you could send them something with cats. Or you could make something in the style of something on their wist. For this swap a variety of items is also strongly encouraged, don't put 80 sewn skirts on there! Make sure there are a variety of knit, crocheted, sewn, polymer clay, jewlery, handmade yarn and paper crafted items That way you won’t have to worry if you don’t know how to do a certain type of craft it is okay to use your partners wist as inspiration. It will be a lot easier to craft for someone, and a lot easier for the organizer to match people up!
Before you sign up make sure to go through and edit your wists, take off things you already have or don't want anymore. Also make sure to mark things YOU want to make, not have made for you, as private.
You must have a wists account to join this swap. You must have a minimum of 80 items in your wists account. At least 60 of those items must craftable. However, more than the minimum amount is
strongly encouraged.
We’ll be using the point system for this swap. You’ll have to send your partner
6 points of items.
Small Item = 1 point
Med Item = 2 Points
Large Item = 3 Points
For new swappers there might be a bit of a confusion as to what is a large, medium, and small item, so here's a handy guide:
Small = By time, 2 or less hours of crafting. By $$$, $10 or less. By size, Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks…
Medium = By time, 2 or more hours of crafting. By $$$, $10-$30. By size, one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf…
Large = By time, 3 or more hours of crafting. By $$$, $30 or more. By size, A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse…
This is not totally set in stone, but is a rough estimate of sizes described by time it takes to make package, by physical size and by cost.
Rules: All participants must check in at least once a weeek by posting in this thread.If your partner is within the US, you MUST get a DC and pm it to the organizer and your partner.
Be aware of the comments section on wists, someone might add something and you go to make it, but didn’t notice in their comments that they would only want that item in a different color.
Important note: Feedback will ONLY be given after you send, receive, and post pictures of what you received. If you do not have a camera, please make arrangements with your partner so they can take pictures before they send.
