For the themed bookmark swap, one of my partner's themes was caffeine.  I wasn't quite sure how to turn caffeine into a bookmark so this was what I could come up with:

I didn't get a picture of the back but it's a really nice blue fabric like the color of the word caffeine.  I also put some real caffeine on the bookmark in the form of the molecule and some coffee stains.  C & C appreciated!  Thanks!

The cup-ring stains are awesome! Smiley

Excellent work on representing the double bonds on the caffeine molecular structure...they are so often overlooked Smiley

It looks great. I thought it was a coffee cup cozy at first. Either way it is great.

When I started out on it, I couldn't tell that Hydrogen was black and Nitrogen was blue (it's dark in my apartment), so I got about 1/3 of the way through when I realized it and had to take all of it out  Cry And as far as the double bonds go, they had to be represented or it wouldn't be a complete caffeine molecule!

And thanks for all your comments! This was actually the first time I've done embroidery. I've done some cross-stitching before, but never embroidery.

For all you coffee lovers out there, if you want to adapt the idea for a coffee cozy or coasters or what-have-you, go ahead!
