Ok. So. this is a plaid tote purse i finished up about a week ago. it was my first bag that ive made out of plaid fabric, and that was the main challenge for me for this one. the lining is the same plaid fabric, and essentially this is a reversable purse. i feel like i did fairly well matching up the plaid on the bag itself.. i dont have a picture of that.  the straps weren't as successful as far as the plaid goes, but i think it still looks alright. it was also my first bag with pockets, which, also came out better than expected for me. haha. if it weren't for the plaid, this would have been a really simple project. i'm soo happy with the way it turned out though. i've gotten so many compliments already. in the bottom to help keep its shape is a rectangular piece of plexyglass (sp?) my dad snatched up from the scraps at work. enjoy Smiley

i stuck my checkbook in the pocket so you could see where its at. its kinda lumpy because it has stuff in it. the front pocket also has a little loop in it so i can attach my keys to it and they wont fall out.

a picture of the inside/pocket. its the perfect size for my cell phone. once again, my checkbook for display purposes.

Very cute! I love the pattern, being a Catholic School girl, I wore plaid from the time I was 5 haha.
I'm nervous about doing anything with stripes because I'm afraid they won't be straight and then I'll be upset Sad
