I'm an instant-gratification kind of girl...so, crocheting a baby-ghan in all single-crochet was not a good idea...but I did it. And I do like the way it turned out. But it was so incredibly tedious. I hope this kid carries the blanket until she's in college!!

Crocheted using Bernat Varigated Cotton and a small hat to match.

The mommy-to-be loved it, and I suppose that's what matters.

C/C welcome! Thanks for looking!

It is very pretty. I am sure it will be used for a long time.

This is so well done!  I hope for you that the child carries this around and loves it forever Smiley

Did it come out stiff?  When I use all single crochet, or even all half-double, the completed object is often stiff.

And you're right, if mom liked it, that's what counts!

Very pretty!  I'm sure the little one will love it, especially because mommy does.

I admire your patience w/single crochet.  I only use it for quick projects/amigurami.

Thanks for all the compliments!!

It's heavy but not terribly stiff. I tried to use as loose a stitch as I could, and a larger hook (don't remember which now). I figured it would be a very warm winter blanket, perfect for putting over baby when walking through parking lots and such.

Did you create a design for the colors, or was it self-striping (or something similar) yarn? Either way, the effect is beautiful! I love the colors!

It may have taken forever, but at least it will be super warm!  Nicely done and way to stick with the project.
