found this awesome set of curtains at the thrift store. luckily i have tons of fabric still because I think I botched it pretty bad. Tried to add an iron-on (never mind the bumpy canvas like fabric  Roll Eyes ) and that was a disaster. So, I added the little felt leaf to cover my shame.

yay! wood grain lining.

what do you think? destined for the scrap pile?

Yeah, that fabric is not iron-on material, but the clutch is fabulous!!  I hope and pray that you don't put it in the scrap pile!!  I would buy this if I saw it in a store.

aw, ya'll are too kind! who am I kidding, I'm no perfectionist, even though it bugs me a bit that you can see a little bit of the failed iron-on. I'll defnitely carry this around. Anyways, this only took maybe 1/2 a yard (incl. the lining) and I have like four more floor length panels. Any ideas as to what to do with 'em? I was thinking tote bags, too. DH suggested a jacket but, I'm thinking it might be a little busy.

thanks again for the comments!

oh i like this a lot!

I think a jacket would be cool out of this fabric however I am a bit over the top with my dressing especially in winter when everything it so boring outside since we don't get snow and ice here. However, if it is something that you wouldn't wear you shouldn't do it. You should definitely make more bags if you aren't doing the jacket or you could make some coasters or um... wallets. What I am trying to say is this fabric is freaking awesome and you should so make loads of stuff outta it lol.

thanks again!  Grin
I think I'm convinced on the jacket -if it's too much for me I'm sure I'll find it a good home. Thanks for all the nice words and suggestions! I definitely can make tons of stuff!

You can't see it so much on the small bag but the trees all overlap giving it kind of a trellis look, it's neat.

This clutch rocks, i love that you chose the wood grain fabric to go with the woodsy look of the outside :-)
