Thanks for the tute - I really am going to try this !  Any idea how I could reduce the size so that it fits a child ?  Or do I have to do a head measurement and figure the rest out ?

For a child's head I would measure and then scale down the band and brim. Shouldn't be too hard. Maybe just a few inches.
