I'm doing the Sophie bag too!  Grin I'm excited that I'll get to knit a long with you all.  I'm also making a bag for my mom using the booga bag pattern from this site: http://www.blacksheepbags.com./booga_bag.html.  I'm altering it because she wanted a bigger bag.  I'm also altering the Sophie pattern and I'm knitting double stranded for a bigger bag and increased thickness.  I've barely started the sides and I'm already onto the 2nd skeins so you'll need more yarn than the pattern calls for if you do it this way.  This has been a really easy introduction to more advanced patterns for me.  I can't wait until I get them felted!
