They're both great! I have to admit, I usually disregard most of the instructions that come with patterns; especially Butterick. I usually go with what makes sense. You did a great job.

haha, i actually tried disregarding the instructions when i first started doing patterns. this ended up with me omitting things like lining, gathering under the bust (and, uhhh i need all the help i can get if you know what i mean Wink) and stabilizing areas around zippers and pockets. i don't really understand patterns enough yet to work without instructions. i'd like to be at that point eventually, though! Grin

Love the dresses. I never did the back of my hair either, until I got 360 degree mirrors in my bathroom. Now I can't not do it, and don't even ask how I manage with ONE mirror on vacations and such. So my advice? Continue to not do it Cheesy
