i've fallen in love with this idea <3
i've already made a whole bunch (polka-dotted, plaid..the big bold patterns really work well with the design!). this one i made the opening diagonally, along the stripes of the fabric. and i didn't bother with putting caribeaners on.. i liked it tied off

You might notice that this is my first ever post so hi everybody. It's so good to have found so many like-minded people!

I've been thinking about making a "fanny pack" for a while but only just got round to it. I made a version with a slot in the back so that I can wear it on any normal belt. I hope my pictures work!

To be honest, when i first saw this project i kind of thought...okay a fanny pack, i guess it works for some.  And then the other day i wanted to take my cd player to the gym with me (i haven't jumpped on the ipod band wagon yet).  But my cd player is really really thin, like 1/2 an inch thick and as big as a cd around so i didn't want to buy one of those bulky cd holders, and while i was brainstoming solutions i remembered this and was like...AH it would be perfect!!

I am about 3/4 of the way through mine. I was just getting the hang of the sewing machine (my first time using it) and the needle broke. It slammed right into the metal holder part. It's to be expected, it's an old old Singer that has been passed down through my family for perhaps a tad longer than it should have been. But ARG! My stitching is terrible and uneven but I still love it. I'll post as soon as I finish.
