I have always been a fanny-pack hater myself, but I believe you may have changed all this. The fabric is so cute! And how perfect for bike riding! I ride 2 miles to work each day (and then 2 miles home, of course) and it gets pretty sweaty with a backpack and even a messenger bag.

Thanks for the inspiration

I tried this purse for my first sewing project and loved it!  It was easy to follow and I've already used the purse to carry some pills and a cell phone to watch a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game.  It was great for carrying the small stuff.  I used a ribbon for the belt and used buttons to secure the belt rather than carabeeners.  I would love to post pictures...if I could only figure out how...
Anyway, thanks for the great idea!

I'm glad to hear that the tute was easy to follow. And your first sewing project! Yay! I hope you're able to figure out how to post pics cause I'd love to see it.

i've fallen in love with this idea <3
i've already made a whole bunch (polka-dotted, plaid..the big bold patterns really work well with the design!). this one i made the opening diagonally, along the stripes of the fabric. and i didn't bother with putting caribeaners on.. i liked it tied off Smiley
