Hey folks!

I love this vintage dress worn by Penelope Cruz to the Oscars-

I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about how to find a similar pattern.  What I like about the dress is the fitted bodice and the waistline seam, but especially the shape of the skirt (except the back-it is huge!) I'm looking at vintage patterns to try to find something similar, but I can't tell what sort of skirt I'm looking for.  Is it a full skirt, A-line, or what?-it isn't as poufy as most of the patterns I'm finding. I just don't know what would come out looking similar--and so many vintage patterns are either empire waist or not as fitted.  Does anyone know of any good patterns with the same skirt shape, or how to find some? What fabrics would I use to get that shape, under the lace?

Thanks so much!

it looks like a bustier attached a circle skirt, with a huge petticoat underneath.

http://www.voguepatterns.com/item/V1094.htm this is pretty similar, you'd just have to change the neckline, and possibly add boning to help the top stay up.
