well everytime i sew seams together like a sleeve onto a top or adding lengths onto tops and things and loadsa other stuff when ive finished its lways comes out bumpyand  i just dnt know what im doing wrong or how to rectify it, its really annoying me as its making things look a bit scrappy
is there anything i can do to prevent this from happening im getting so frustrated with it now

What fabrics have you been working with?

And also, have you tried pressing (ironing) your pieces after sewing?

Well, applying sleeves is always a pain in the neck until you acquire practice.  Paying attention to notches in the pattern helps, and also distributing carefully the fabric when pinning.  Basting first may help so that you see if it's ok to sew and where to make corrections easily.

If seams come out bumpy as a rule, try a different length of stitch.  Maybe you're using stitches that are too small.  Experiment with that and also with the tension, and see if there is any difference in the results.
