I absolutely adore this. But there is something I need to say. This is all based on the Disney art. The original Alice (both in the book and the real girl she was based on) had short black hair and brown eyes and dressed very differently. This just makes me wonder how awesomely awesome an ami based off of the real thing not the Disney version would be!

Just to give a little shout out and a compliment. I have to say this. No one involved in Alice in Wonderland was on acid. Lewis Carrol was a pen name used by a British college professor who told this story to the daughter of a colleague over several weeks with her (Alice Lidell) as the main character.

I absolutely love this ami and look forward to seeing the rest of the series. Smiley

Actually, I didn't base her on anything 'Disney'. I'm a huge fan of Alice and in a lot of the older illustrations I've enjoyed (pre-Disney, there are A LOT of them), she is similarly dressed, with blonde hair. I really like that look, so that's what I went with Smiley

Thanks! I look forward to making the rest.. we'll see where they go

I'm very interested in how you did the hair. Did you crochet a hair cap and then latch hook each strand on? Or, did you backstitch and then cut the loops? Which method did you use, if you don't mind my asking.

Beautiful work, again.
