this is awesome!  I love the stripey socks.  I'm wondering - did you crochet the legs completely in the round, where you can clearly see the change in yarn or did you use a slip stitch so that each stripe is nice and smooth?  Does that make sense?

 Shocked

I noticed in your flickr description you said you'd make the eyes lighter next time... I think the dark eyes are perfect! when I opened the picture up to full size they captured me and it was really hard to look away. Don't change them!

The socks and the hair are also my favorites. I'd love to have a full set of these.  Wink

Beautiful work! I look forward to seeing the rest.

Omigosh, she's wonderful! You did an amazing job.

Just curious, how tall is she?

She's about 17.5" tall Smiley

yeah, I know what you're saying Cheesy I usually crochet completely in the round - I don't tend to use the slip stitch because it leaves an ugly seam I don't like. So when doing stripes I always plan out the color changes so the 'offset' sections are at the 'back'. It's not very elegant, I know >_<
