for the opening night of harry potter and the half blood prince i wanted to make a costume that was more complicated than the robes id made previously. id always wanted a fleur costume and when i happened accidentily across the perfect fabric i snatched it up and decided that is was time to make it. here is the completed project:

this is what i was aiming for:

and this the how it came out:

if you want to know every crazy detail about how i made it you can find my dress diary here in 5 parts:
http://wilcoxwizardwears.blogspot.com/search/label/beauxbatons%20academy. i painted my shoes and felted my very own hat (man was that a mess) i draped my patterns starting with a few patterns i had as a starting point. it was a lot of fun to make and to wear and i really hope you like it too :0)

thanks for all the kind words y'all!  boo_zombie, oh i love the shoes! i wanted to wear them to work! hahaha. but unfortunatley they cracked and flaked where they bend near the toes. im going to have to think up some way to fix them. they staryed perfect everywhere else on the sue but i painted them with acrylic paint and it just wasnt flexible enough.
