Your puzzles look great! I've altered individual puzzle pieces for scrapbooking swaps but I've never done a whole puzzle... I bought a 24-piece kiddy puzzle from the Dollar Tree to alter. It would be cool to do a whole puzzle - I'll have to go buy another one because I've used half the pieces for swapping!

Here's some I did a few months ago for a 'pets' swap, if the link works...

And these were 'Spring' themed.

And here are some I did a few years ago... sorry they're not very good pics!

You guys have inspired me to try this.  I think that his would be the perfect christmas gift for my stepmother, who is very in to uniting our family and loves puzzles.  I just need to find a puzzle with six rows, so that I can do a row for each of us.  I think it's a cool way to show the uniting of our families.  I can't wait to start.

That is such a great idea!  Very symbolic.  I can't wait to see some of the pieces.

That does sound neat.  I'd like to figure out something more personal for some members of my family.  They're puzzle lovers.

My ABC puzzle is sadly lacking because of the altered puzzle swap and another swap I'm in.  I'm more than half way done, but I haven't had a chance to sit and work on it as much as I would like to.

Here are my first three altered puzzle pieces and I happen to like them a lot!

I really like those!  Are they all layered with strips of the stripey paper?  It reminds me of ribbon, which I've been wanting to try out on some of my pieces, but I'm afraid of cutting around the curvey edges (though I suppose I could just put them where they'd be easy to trim down).

I think I have those same embellishments, are they rub-ons?  I got them in a paper bits swap, and there wasn't any explanation or instructions (though one did get stuck onto something else during shipping), and I don't know what to do with them!  BF thought they were water slide decals, but I have no idea!

Usually you peel them off, place them face down and rub them with a craft stick or the back of a spoon. But sometimes there is a layer you have to peel off first.
