I went through a ceramic tile-mosaic phase a few years back. I go through a lot of phases. It was fun; I would randomly break up tiles with a hammer and then rearrange the bits into pictures. Most of these tiles were freebies-leftovers from the local home improvement store. To get the proper yellowish skin tone, though, I had to go with some plates found at Target in the clearance section. The table I used cost something like 3 dollars at a secondhand store. It's not the greatest table because it has these little cubby things underneath, so it's not especially comfortable to sit at. But it makes a good surface to throw my keys, groceries, and other random stuff on in the kitchen.

I freehanded the characters while referencing a book.

I thought it would be appropriate for Milhouse to have the wine, and Lisa the Duff beer.

Grrrr

Excellent...

Thanks for looking,
Amy

Wow!  This looks amazing!  I love how the whole scene in set up.  I think Mr. Burns told Milhouse if he were to have any chance with Lisa, he would be to get her drunk.  Cheesy

F-ing awesome.  I was basically raised on the Simpsons, they taught me a surprisingly wide range of Jeopardy knowledge that use to this day.  I love your table.  I'm curious why you chose to include the characters you did.  Are they your favourites?  I like Patty and Selma myself.

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.

Ha ha, believe it or not, I hadn't thought that far into the scenario. But I love your version of the story. I think that's what I'll go with if anyone ever asks.

Don't remember. It's easy to lose track of time while crafting...you guys know that.

It's pretty tough to choose a favorite Simpsons character; they're all pretty awesome in their own right. I'd have to say Lisa and Mr. Burns are pretty high on my favorites list, and I threw the other two in just 'cause?
