I have been trying to construct a hat for Patty, from the anime Soul Eater, but it has turned out to be way more difficult than I thought.  I've got a good start with the brim and everything, but I can't figure out how to make the top with the little bloopy thing.  The material I was going to use is white faux-leather, which I happened to have lying around.  If there are any experts out there, I would really appreciate the help.

Looks like a cone that has been squished to one side. The softer the material, the easier it will squish, me thinks.
