if I ever have a house with space and walls that I can put nails in...I'm making this. Yours is beautiful; I really like the colours!

this is fabulous!!!!  I use alot of old unloved book pages for collage and this would be a swell way to use the leftover covers  Smiley

I really like how colorful this is! Didi you use precolored book covers or did you paint them before you hung them up? Great job!

This is so amazing!  I love it, and I might try it sometime if I can scrounge up enough old books at the thrift store that  a: are crappy enough that I don't want to read them and  b: have gorgeous colored jackets like those!  Beautiful, and goes so well with your quilt.

This is such a good idea! I will definitely be on the lookout for books I wouldn't mind destroying now Smiley

Ever since I got involved with our Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale, I've been looking for ways to use up books that nobody wants, which is what got me into Altered Books .... and Book Purses.... and Book Bookshelves.

But this is WONDERFUL! I love it!

Thank you for those links. But your headboard is great. I love the ideas the craftsters come up with and I am amazed. I love it. But I love my art deco bed, so if my nephew ever moves out, I will use this idea for the guest bed.

Some of the spines have text, is that the original text, or did you put quotes or something on them. I still can't believe this.

Great headboard!  I saw something similar on TV once, but they painted over, etc.  The preserved original-ness of this is very appealing.

I'm getting over my aches of reuseing books and can't wait to make something like this.  I'm wisting.... thanks!

That is wicked cool!  I'm bookmarking this for later reference.  I've been looking for something to add to spice up the bedroom in the apartment.

Fantastic job!

Yep, these are the original covers and text. I didn't alter them in any way. Smiley
