I have total ADD in my sewing room.  In the midst of making one outfit I ws tired of workin on I got the whim to start on this!

I wanted to try something slightly different with a pair of jeans than the average ruffled hem.  So I took some sheer fabric I got from the remnant bin (I'm such a remnant junkie Shocked).  I've been more open lately to experimenting with sheers even though I hate them BADLY Angry! Evil, slippery, thin pieces of fabric I say!  I rolled them hems which can be a pain in the *** if you don't catch the begining in the piece then the thread lopp hangs off the fabric.  I did a double ruffle in the shape of the hem I cut into the jeans so that they'd have a flowy look.  The jeans were cut and stitched so they would fray when washed up to a point.  Then I used two purchased appliques I purchased about 3 years ago. I bought sooo many of them when I first learned to sew.  I was embarrased when they started peeling off in public!  Embarrassed Didn't realized that you should tack them down with stitching for durability despite the adhesive. I have TONS of appliques that are collecting dust in my stash so I was very happy to finally be able to work these into SOMETHING!  I embellished the top and did a quick lil sash belt.  Made my Jazzi Pom bows too. Easy peasy.  Nyla wore it to her B-day party ala Chuck E Cheese.  I just didn't have the time to do something age or b-daythemed like I planned.

As usual she hammed it up for the camera.  I swear these poses are her own, no direction necessary!  I hope she'll grow up and buy Mommy her dream home with all this sass and pizzazz!
