In high school, I took Vocational Commercial Art classes.  In both my junior year and senior years I spent 3 hours a day off in art lala land.  I absolutely loved it.  After putting my portfolio together, I ended up never using it.  I wasn't ready to go to college and leave home.  It has been tucked away for a few years and has finally surfaced.  (My husband and I are revamping the basement, that in of itself will be another post... Wink)

These are two of my favorites.  Both will be re-matted and framed, and will be hung in the basement.

Photography is not one of my strong suits.  I always blame the camera but in this case, it is the camera.  I need a new one!

I remember writing words to songs in the shell piece!  Ask me what songs and where are they located?  I have no clue.  It is done on mechanical board with several Design Ebony pencils, razor blades and a kneaded eraser, a few of those as well.  approximately 70+ hours to complete.

Up close shots...

This one is done on the same board with gesso, acrylic paints, drafting curves, Prismacolor colored pencils and Design Ebony pencils.

Thanks for looking.

The shells are great! I love the amount of detail you incorporated into it. My hat's off to you for doing it all in graphite, I've got no patience with it! I always drag my hand over it and smudge it up.  Angry
