Harry Potter tshirt

I decided to make my own, though I'm not even going to the opening night show!!
Anyway, I bought a plain black tshirt and had some green fabric paint lying around I bought for another project (Soylent Green is people tshirt - will be coming in a few weeks). The paint is really cool, it comes in a wee squeezy bottle with a really fine tip. I don't have the patience for making a stencil, plus no freezer paper and was planning on just writing it with pencil first and then going over freehand with the paint.
Mum had a better idea which I honestly LOVE and reccomend to anyone who can't be bothered with stencils, but still wants a cool picture or font they can't do by hand.

So what I did is this: downloaded a harry potter font from mugglenet.com, wrote what I wanted the way I wanted it in a word document, printed it, wrote with the fabric paint on the reverse of the paper and then pressed it on the shirt!!! I did each line seperatly so the paint wouldn't dry on the paper. I pressed the first line for too long and the paper got stuck to my shirt!!! the paint didn't show up too well on the black shirt and I went over it a few more times by hand, and mum had another awesome idea, GLITTER!!! The glitter is basically clear, but sparkles purple in the right light, unfortunatly the photo didn't capture this, but it looks awesome.

awesome and sneaky idea about not using the stencils, plus, cutting out stencils of text is a real pain. If i were a complete harry potter fan i would have one of these.

ive never heard of using that technique before but it turned out REALLY nice! hope you enjoyed the movie:)
