I would like to introduce you to my new obsession.... Knife pleats!!  I decided to knife pleat a piece of denim and somehow it evolved into a foldover clutch.  I sewed down the pleats so they wouldn't gape open.  I'm so proud of this baby and can't wait to carry it.  Here it is.

Here is the front unfolded...

And the unfolded back...

I self-lined it on the inside...

I was going to put a pretty crystal brooch/pin on the front for embellishment, but sometimes those pins come open and you can lose/damage the brooch, so I used buttons instead.  I attacked my button stash and found these green buttons and sewed them on instead.

Do you like my bag??

I want this! And I want to make this!  Not necessarily in that order, as my patience would be GREATLY tested, to the point of insanity, probably.  The button idea is perfect!  I can't even picture it with something else on it instead, it's so perfect!

I love that. I love buttons and often buy bags of them because they are cute (my mother sighs at this).
This is really nice! Denim is really sturdy and the buttons are a nice touch.
