i remember seeing jonathan ross talk about that movie on one of his shows about japan on BBC3- i've never to this day been able to track it down on dvd! how strange to see a conversation about it in the book swap thread  Cheesy my evening has been officially brightened up, thank you!

Japanorama!  I loved that show.  There is a series of these movies: Calamari Wrestler, Executive Koala, Crab Goalie, etc.  I've seen the first two, but haven't been able to find the rest.  Instant classics.

I'm thinking I might just join this swap.  Yay!

i think i remember seeing clips of crab goalie but not executive koala! he sounds so cute- i'm picturing him latching onto a prospective client and climbing him like a eucalyptus tree  Cheesy

OHHH THE HORROR!  Shocked

Indeed.  And it has the most bizarre ending I have ever seen in a movie.  Considering my movie taste, that's saying a lot.

More bizarre than the end of Monty Python's Holy Grail? Smiley

Best wtf moment EVER Cheesy
(though there is a wonderful 4th-wall moment in a Jasper Fforde book where the text goes "Jack accepted this explanation without questioning it, and you should too.")

Now I have an overwhelming urge to see "Executive Koala".
But when I thought it was about something cute and cuddly, not so much.
What does that say about me?  Cheesy
