Thankfully I will not need this as I will be having my partner ship to my mother or husband (we all live in the same house), so I won't need willpower, just someone to hide the box!!! Hahahahahahaha! I don't have any either! So, don't feel bad.

Your idea is a good one though. I will add a question to this effect on the questionnaire so that you and your partner can remember to figure this out between you! Great Suggestion!!

I don't have super willpower either..It's just I start putting pressies out right after we decorate our tree..Usually the day after thanksgiving..And so my kids are "tourtured" looking at them for a month..And I'm soooo looking FORWARD to being TORTURED right along with them...Hubby and I have been married almost 18 years and I've gotten maybe 3 surprises in my stocking in that time..We mostly focus on the girls..It'll be soooooooo COOOOOOOOLLL!!!!

Okay, so I am shamelessly attempting to keep this in the public eye! I am hoping to keep the momentum up...

Also this should be a large pile of smalls like 20 plus a small medium or two. It is a large commitment, but I really want a good turn out!

Having all of Oct. and Nov. will help quantity wise.  Plus, let's be honest, this will be in large part a destash.  I actually don't expect to buy that much (frankly, can't afford to).

I'd gladly start setting supplies back and whipping up smalls (insomnia at least makes me productive) now!  But, I don't know about my partner, yet.

Hi! My thinking exactly. I am already assembling small, generically crafty little projects to make and put in a box for this swap. If they're a good match for my partner, great! If not, they'll be put to good use for someone else. I'm thinking slippers, tape measure covers, herbal stuff, etc. Maybe a few dishcloths, but I do want to make things just for my partner to enjoy.
Can't wait for the official kick-off! Smiley

I know some people may be scared off by such a large commitment, but they are smalls AND I want my stocking full  Grin

AlternaWidget -  I had to laugh when I read your post because this week I've been gathering friends' foot sizes.  If you have XX chromosomes and receive a Christmas gift from me, you will be receiving crocheted Mary Jane slippers from me this year.  LOL  My watching-a-streaming-video-online-while-sufferring-from-insomnia project of the moment is a purple pair for myself to practice adjusting pattern size.   Wink

I'm truly hesitant to start on the smalls though because I don't know my partner's color preferences or anything.  For example, I despise orange and bright yellow, but what if my partner likes them?  I like green and purple, but what if my partner despises them?  I can't wear wool things because they make me itch -- what if my partner has a similar quirk.  *shrugs*

I do wonder, though, if it would be too much (I know, it might be, I can already hear the arguments against it now), to have partners assigned at the start of Sept. instead of Oct., please?  Because, remember, most of us are crafting for all gift giving this year due to extreme economic hardship.
