Kinda self-explainatory...How do you (yes, YOU) embroider knits like jersey? I find it quite difficult, and was wondering if any of you had some tips  Grin

I use sulky water soluble stabilizer. It's wonderful! I know some people use the rip away stabilizer.

I have used Pellon medium-weight stabilizer behind the knit and stitch through it as well as the knit.  It help with the 'stretching' issue, but does not eliminate it.  You can trim most of it away when you're finished.

I am waiting on water soluble stabilizer. But I have read about people using freezer paper and tissue paper as well. I am going to try to use this and see what happens.

Thank you all! The reason I ask is that my bestist friend ever's birthday was recently. I embroidered her a pillow, and tried to do it with jersey. Oops. Four hours later, I had made no progress and gave up for some cotton. It caused me lots of stress freaking out that the party was an hour (!) away. I did finish the pillow in time and she loved it, but it was still terrifying. Next time I'll try some stabilizer!  Grin
