I've been kind of... er, lurking around for a while. Getting ideas and LOVING looking at people's crafty work. LOVE it.
A little about me: I'm 20, married for almost two years, and been living in the pacific northwest my whole life. I'm a college student, though not full time. I also take care of my husband's 6 year old daughter. It's a rough life, but crafting keeps me sane. Of course
I guess I never grew out of being a CampFire girl. We did a lot of crafty stuff back then, and I've pretty much never stopped. When hubby and I first got married, I tried to be super domestic, and joined a "homemaking" site. Sometimes they talked about sewing on there, so I gave it a shot one day. I ended up making a couple of hand-sewn quilts. I tried using sewing machines, but I haven't met one that I like yet. So I do all my sewing by hand. I've had to learn a few things the hard way with sewing, but it's been an overwhelmingly positive pursuit. I like making felt food and quilts and blankets and stuff. I'm sure I'll branch out the longer I work at it!
I'm also pretty big on paper crafting.
For hubby's birthday, I made him one of them "52 things" deck of cards books. He LOVED it. For Mother's Day I made some inchies and framed 'em for MIL. And then I made some to decorate my bathroom with.
I only got into paper crafting a few months ago and I have NO idea why it took me so long to get into it! Gah! So fun.
So that's me.
Oh, and my name's Amy
