Hello everyone. Here is my latest completed stitchy project: a Bubble Bobble clock!

I started with a cheap plastic clock from Ikea, disassembled it, traced the paper face onto black aida fabric, made a few reference marks, and just began stitching. I chose the sprites as I went (they're all from the Nintendo/NES version of the game), and had to capture the "Hurry!" sprite directly from the game myself since I couldn't find it on the internet. I also stitched little 2x2 squares for the 12 hour markers, and painted the black hands white so they'd show up against the background.

Bubble Bobble is quite possibly my favorite game ever, so it was really hard for me to narrow it down to only 6 characters to put on the clock, but I didn't want it to look too cluttered. And I just had to include "Hurry!" because I'm always running late. Cheesy

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I LOVE IT!!!
Bubble Bobble is one of the few games that I used to play [along with Lemmings], and it took the combined skill of my brother and myself to finish it.

Oh, oh, the memories.

This is getting rocked and wisted. Love it!
Can I step all over your toes and ask for a copy of the Hurry! sprite?

Love your work.  Grin

Nostrum: Thanks so much! And no toe-squishing necessary: I had a feeling someone might ask for the sprite, so here ya go. Smiley

This is quite spectacular!  Great job!  I've been inspired to make one of my own and I'll be visiting Ikea soon anyway!   Grin

Thank you!  Cheesy

I just went searching the net for Bubble Bobble sprites, and I just found this.

Its got sprites for all the different motions, all the bad guys, all the items, plus bubbles, power ups, bonuses, and the different text from the game. Including... "Hurry up!" Hehe. Tongue

If anyone wants a copy of the full size, send me a PM. Smiley

THIS IS SO AWESOME YOU HAVE NO IDEA

I played BB so much that there for a while, the theme song would make me violent.
