Yet Another GROSS Spoon Rest - Toenails!!

Well, I made another gross spoon rest!

Anyways, somebody suggest to make one with toenails inside the resin.  I wasn't sure if I should do it since then everyone will now know that I've been saving toenails for a really long time(haha).  Well I decided to not care what people think and do it!

I'll tell you the story so you don't think I'm too too weird.  When I was probably like 14, I read this book about superstitions.  I remember reading to never let your nail clippings out of your sight...if a witch or something got ahold of them something bad would happen to you.  Well..not that I believe that anymore but I did when I was younger.  Since then, I've been saving my nails  (weird I know but oh well).  But now I have a use for them! 

The ones I put in this spoon rest are since I've been with my husband (about 5 years worth of two people's nails...I kept his when he would cooperate with me).  It's really less nails than I thought you would make in 5 years!  The red/pink nails are nail polish. 

Again, don't worry the toenails will not actually touch the spoon!  The nails are safely all sealed in the resin.

strange yet very interesting and the story with it is cool...your hubby must really love you to donate his toe nail clippings to the greater good of your creativity.

The egg is still doing good suprisingly!  Someone suggested taking a picture every week but I've been taking one every day in the exact same spot so I can make a movie with the pictures when it rots..lol.   So far though all the pictures look exactally the same...
