Alright this is it!  the curtains that I've been mentioning are finally finished!  There have been many people that had requested to see them once they were finally finished.  I'm happy to be able to share this obsession (ahem) hobby of mine.

First of all I finished the bottom right hand corner of the right panel.

I'm not in any way able to tell you the hours I spent on these, I have no idea but if my house ever burns down I'm running back in and taking these with me!
(of course I hope this never happens)

Flowers all year round:

And you'll remember such classic hits as:

Mr and Mrs Gnome!

and:

birdies galore!

I have more images of all of the smaller embroidered rephotographed and detailed on my blog~  http://mrskittysembroiderybasket.blogspot.com/

I hope you like them as much as I enjoy sharing them.

Wow! You did an amazing job! I also really love Mr. and Mrs. Gnome. I had been thinking of making some curtains with a gnome on them because I want a kitchen with a gnome theme (weird, I know).

These are just gorgeous - well worth the effort! I especially like the circular designs, but I love the way it all works together.

thats cool.  But I have a question: how are you hanging the twig on your window?  are you nailing through it or something?

Thank you for all of your nice comments.  Grin  They make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

I've given this a bit of thought...
At first I thought I would just do that but I wanted to clear the window by a little so
I am pre-drilling some guide holes into the wall on either side of the window and using some heavy duty hooks as anchors.  Then I am going to wire the branch to the hooks and cover them in either hemp string or raffia to give it a more earthy look.  So one set of the ribbon tabs will be on the far side of each hook and the others move along the stick.

They are still not hung up yet but I'm almost there...  Wink
