My mom gave me this calender for my birthday that shows seasonal leaves for every month with instructions how to make little leaf men with felt. I made a little holly man

I also made those little men with the kids in church and they loved it.
It's nice to use the leaves for seasonal decoration, maybe hanging them in branches or making a mobile with different ones.

What an adorable little creation-I hope you post the rest of the year's leaf-people.

I've heard it both ways.

I'm looking to swap some knit &/or crocheted crafts for handmade CP/HP soap.

Neat!  If I may ask, what's the name of the calendar?  I may have to go looking for it. I wish my mom would get me stuff like that. Smiley

How cute! I'd also love to have the name of the calander. I'd love to get a copy for myself. I know my daughter would love little leaf men. Smiley

Please!  Do pass on the name of the calendar!  They're so charming and I'd love to find all the patterns and learn to make them all!

My leaf army awaits.

Thanks for all the comments! I'm glad you like the little man Smiley
The calender is German: Blaettermaennchen Kalender (literally this means Little Leaf Men) and is Waldorf inspired I think. But the leaves are very simple to make. So, if I'm making one of the July leaves, I'll take pictures of the basic steps that all leaves follow.

Thank you Ewulotta and Linda P! I'm bookmarking this for Christmas presents! I'm hoping the gradparents are getting my kids a wooden treehouse (like a dollhouse, but it's a tree w/felt leaves) and these would be adorable in it! Thanks for the info!

Ah, this link answeres a question I had, because I was wondering if the calendar was about using actual leaves, or felt. So it's felt. Thanks. Oh man, that little Blackberry man is too cute!

Did you click on the photos?  They get bigger.  I love the little white snowflake one.  Would you use a pipe cleaner to help hold the arms and head on?  That would make them poseable.... (is that a real word?)

yes, you use pipecleaners. You fold them in the middle and twist them around two or three times and attach a wooden bead as head. The calender doesn't have patterns for the leaves, only small drawings, so you have to draw a pattern free-hand. When I'm back home, I'll take pictures.
