I'm going out on a limb here in defense of pink... Pink doesn't have to be all girly and froo froo. At my school we have a pink ribbon walking team to raise money for breast cancer research. Pink ain't all bad, you just have to use it in the right way.

LMAO! True, pink has it's uses, I've worn a pink ribbon, and would wear a pink shirt if I were part of a breast cancer team.

I don't dislike it for it's girly-ness, since I like a lot of cutesy things (cute forest themes.. ), I just don't like it in general, not even the dusky pinks.

You boyfriend has excellent themes! I love Star wars and Dinosaurs myself, but opted to leave them out of my swap themes.

Looks like this is a really fun bunch of swappers! I'm non-US as well (just Canada though ). Here's my themes - I made more than 4 for more leeway (and because, hey,I could handle swapping a couple extra bookmarks).

- The Wild Hunt (from folklore -  as I'm writing a novel revolving around it)
- reading/writing
- the apocalypse
- dark Victoriana
- Sailor Jerry style tattoos
- campy B horror movies
- novels (especially the romantic kind) from the 1930's/1940's
- crafting

For patterns/etc I just put stripes & polka dots. Though I suppose I could have been more creative. (The houndstooth, spirals, and animal prints that people have already mentioned especially.)

Just sent in my info. For my themes I put down Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Nature/Trees, Mythical Creatures. I didn't go into too much detail on patterns. I probably should have, but I haven't really thought about what my favorite patterns are, so I just requested nothing too angular or blocky.

This looks like it's going to be a great swap!
