I just finished this one. I've had this fabric for a while, trying to decide what to do with it. It was just too darned cute for just a bag liner. Four big patch pockets on the inside and an inset pocket there in the front with the wooden button. The rectangular rings were upcycled from our trampoline enclosure when it disintegrated.

Here's a close-up (please pardon the fur on it. I had to shove my dog off it while it was lying on the couch.)

Here's another I just sort of threw together for the heck of it. I know the closure looks crooked but it isn't I promise.

I love the first one.  It manages to incorporate three of my favorite things: brown (yup, brown), birds (cute fabric!), and pockets (one can never have too many of those).
Great job!

Love the fabric.  Did you use a pattern/tutorial? If so, which one.

Love, love the first one.  The shape and the fabric.  Great job.  Did you use a pattern for it?

Great job on both of them. I love all the pockets on the brown one. And I know about the button/loop thing looking crooked for pictures. I had that happen to me as well.

Really good job, good clean-looking shape. Am also curious if you used a pattern.

I particularly like the shape of the big fat pleat which shows up so well in the second purse/bag.

I drafted my own pattern for the first one and just kind of winged it on the second (I'm not really crazy about the shape of the bag, particularly the yoke. But it's very roomy.) I use photoshop to make up the patterns and then print out the pieces - I find I have better luck doing that than drawing them by hand.
