I really want to start spinning my own yarn.  Does anyone know where I can get a spindle in Montreal?

hi
i'm not in montreal, and don't know much about stores there, but..
i made my own drop spindle here in halifax. with th e help of a couple of great library books (one by Lee Raven, in particular, don't remember the name of the book).
i bought everything at Kent (Home Depot type store). A piece of 1/4 inch dowel, a pre-drilled toy wheel, and a cup hook. it cost my 8 dollars for everything, and i had enough to make two spindles, with cup hooks and dowel left over...
