So, at a thrift store I stumbled across some Aida cloth for just a quarter! I've been wanting to try cross stitch, and for a quarter I couldn't NOT do it. This was worked in the last few days, trying to use colors in my floss stash that were in abdunance, so I know they might not go together. I like x-stitch so much! I'm not the best embroiderer and I don't think I'll ever be, but I'm happy with how neat my stitches came out in this. I messed up at least three times, adding an extra stitch, but no one has caught it. >.> <.< Yet. Heh.

I didn't use the subversive cross stitch pattern for this, but from the moment I saw it I knew I wanted to use the quote. When I was a kid, one of my favorite memories was the look on my dad's face when he found me and my sister dancing around our baby brother and singing it at him after we found his 2 Live Crew cassette tape. Oh god, remember cassette tapes!? Smiley I do wish that subversive sold their patterns in just PDF format, because I have a limited crafting budget and it gets spent on swaps. If they do, plz to be telling me, because I really want to do the people are cattle one!

I used a font pattern generator for the words, and found the iris here. I don't remember where I found the pattern for the little house, I'm sorry! I was so excited to get pics when it was all done that I didn't think about how the flash would wash out the colors. The house is actually a light tan. I also apologize for the mean face. I'm really a nice person!

Now I just need to frame it and then we can put it up in the living room and hopefully I can make my boyfriend's ex girlfriend horribly uncomfortable when she comes over to pick up the child support check! ^_~
