I moved into a new apartment all by myself, which prevents me from getting distracted from making all the clothes I could ever want.  I realized how much fabric I had (and always keep buying more. I have a problem!) and got right to sewing.  To prevent getting the same questions:  Nah, I don't really use patterns.  I just cut and sew.  I get most of my fabrics from Hancock Fabrics, SR Harris, superbuzzy.com, fabric.com or reprodepot.com.  Most of the fabric I've had for such a long time they're likely no longer available.

Yea, it almost makes me wish I had a car so I could go to SR Harris more than once every few years.  and I live 3 1/2 hours closer to it now than I did a few years ago, but it's hard to convince my rides to stop by there to/from The Cities.

it seems whenever i step in there, there is a magical time warp and i lose hours of my life. not to mention the money. ha!
i life 20 minutes (via car) from SR Harris and I try to limit it to a 2 visits a month thing, unless i NEED something for work. otherwise, it's dangerous!

I live in La Crosse, WI, about 2 or 2 1/2 hours from the Cities.  Next time I plan on being up there (if I can hitch a ride) is August 9 for a dredg concert at Station 4 in St. Paul.

The three times I was at SR Harris I wasn't allowed more than 40 minutes.  Had I stayed any longer I surely would have blown all the money I'll ever make in my lifetime.

I'd really like to get to know more people in the area who sew and are Lolitas, too...I'm the only one in La Crosse.

I'm not a student but I am considering applying for FAFSA if I can figure out what I want my major to be.

The sweetheart neckline on the first dress was based off a Butterick blouse pattern.  I don't know what the number is right now but I'll look it up when I get home.  alli.illektro and MyDestny I'll PM you sometime soon.
