I have tried teaching myself to knit with a book....but i'm just not that smart. Does anyone know of a good knitting class I can take around Union Square or in Williamsburg(Brooklyn)??

Downtown Yarns offers knitting classes, http://www.downtownyarns.com It's on Ave A and 3rd - so it's close to the Wburg bridge, but oddly enough, not the L (but it's easily walkable from the L or the F/V)

I think Purl in Soho may as well, but I'm not sure.
