I used Simplicity 4092, but decided not to use the sleeves because I wanted a more summery look (even though it is not exactly correct for the time period). The pattern was relatively easy and I would recommend it to anyone. Im really bummed that they only had black boning when purchased my materials so you can see it through the dress Sad It is also a little too short on me so the next time I use the pattern I will have to add on some length.
Here are a few action shots!!!!

And a picture of the shoes I wore with the dress just for fun!

Enjoy!

this is a really pretty dress
I think it looks great without the sleeves
and the boning give it its in character

by the way in the third photo you remind me of Emma Watson Smiley

oooh very pretty making! your dog is adorable, and i think that the black boning makes it edgy, and more modern looking, as well as you not adding the sleeves. its 17th century meets modern times!

This is beautiful!  I love the lace at the bottom, and your shoes are adorable as well.

It is content, or rather the consciousness of content, that fills the void. But the mere presence of content is not enough. It is style that gives content the capacity to absorb us, to move us; it is style that makes us care.

I love the dress! But if you are bummed about the boning showing, have you given much thought about maybe dying it a darker color and adding more lace or fabric to the bottom so that it's longer?
