anyone have any good men's vest patterns--??

i'm going to attempt to make one out of some old jeans--as kind of a joke thing--and make it all frayed and stuff...

anyways, i know obviously what a vest looks like, but i was wondering how to exactly draft a pattern for it--could i just use a t shirt that would fit the guy, and make my own pattern pieces from that??

any ideas would be helpful! Smiley

I think there might be a vest pattern on BurdaStyle, they have several men's patterns now. If you draft one yourself, get a second hand dress shirt that fits the man to butcher, cuz tees are stretchy.

i know there is a Simplicity and McCall's pattern for a Men's vest, probably a Butterick and Vogue too... it's a really common pattern.  Check either the Men's or the Special Occasions listings.
