An Aussie in Denmark

« on: July 03, 2009 07:25:49 AM »

I moved from Australia to Denmark about a year and a half ago, and when I left, I had to get rid of a lot of clothes and such. One of the things that went was my swimsuits. I figured that it would be a rare occasion that I would get to swim here in scandinavia, and if I did want to go for a splash, I could just buy a swimsuit.

Well it's hot here now, and the husband and I have swimming on our minds. But finances mean that shopping for a new set of swimmers is kind of out of the question for now.

So I grabbed an old pair of workout pants a bit like these:

and cut, cut, snip, cnip, stitch, stitch later and I now have these:

How funny - Just the other day, I bought a pair of men's swim trunks from Goodwill and made it into a skirt I can wear for workout walking and for hula hooping.
