Meet Slippy! I crocheted him for my boyfriend, who loves penguins, from Rheatheylia's pattern found here. It's on my Ravelry, too, if anyone's interested. The feet were a bit tricky, but I muddled through. I love how his wings are slightly poseable and that he looks constantly surprised, as if he just suddenly, unexpectedly, slid down some ice.

In these pictures, my duvet plays the part of an iceberg!

I believe the appropriate phrase for Slippy here is "D'awwwwwwwwwww...."

So cute.  And they DO look posable, is that just because of how they were crocheted, or is there some sort of wire in there?

It's just how they are! The wings are crocheted in the round, so they're two sided. Somehow, that combined with the tightness of the crochet makes them bend a bit and stay that way. I'm beginning to think Slippy might need a girlfriend ...
