I know it is early, but I'm on vacation tomorrow and I've already missed a couple weeks of FF!

I haven't taken pictures of the yarns I've created, but do have a few of some hand painted roving I dyed up last weekend.

For your viewing pleasure:

Summer Skies

StormySkies

Send in the Clowns

Rose Garden

Cotton Candy

Grapes of Wrath

The Rest Are Un-Named

possibly named Salmon String

All of them

There is at least 8 oz of each colorway

the unnamed one could totally be called cotton candy, especially when left as roving, it looks so much like it! it could dissolve in one's mouth!

Mmmm I love the green and purple one.

I have so much yarn to post! But I'm still debating about which ones I'm sending for the handspun swap, so I must refrain! Heck, I may end up changing my mind again and spinning something totally different...

Yummy rovings this week!

I have one to offer this week.  It is from a merino, rambouillet and silk blend batt called Shiraz that I purchased from Crystal Creek Fibers on Etsy.  This is such a soft blend its like spinning a cloud and I think it definitely makes me think of pouring a glass of red wine at a candle lit table.  I have another skein and enough batt left for at least one more skein to spin.

Ooh! I love all of the dyed rovings! I have a bunch right now, too, that I don't have pictures of. But, I managed to photograph one of the yarns I've made in the last month (the rest are just solid colored and destined to be dolly-dreads). I hand painted the roving, and then spun it up on my drop spindle. It's around 50 yards, super-bulky (and pretty consistent! Yay!). I still have a bit of this roving left to spin up.

Well, Lissa, one of the rovings will be on its way to you on Monday.

Did you catch the dyed roving that is 2nd from the bottom of the un-named ones?? (paul thinks I should call it salmon string) The pictures don't do it justice and it matches so wonderfully with what you sent in the fiber swap.  That was the one with your name on it until I opened your box ......

I hope you like all the rovings I posted, especially the named ones, cuz yours & PH are in there!!!!

ok i know yesterday was friday, and i meant to post yesterday, but well, i didn't.  oops.  so here's my addition, a lil late.

here's my first plied yarn.  it's kind of inconsistant size wise, but i'm still proud of it.   Smiley

my second yarn.  it's just a single.  it's blue stripey.  i need to start thinking of cool names for my yarns like you guys do.
