I hope I'm posting this in the right place???

I made this tool apron to help me keep track of my sewing tools while I'm working on projects. I like the fabric because it has little irons and scissors on it Smiley.

I've been sewing for about a month now and learned a couple things when making this. 1) Think about what's going to go in the apron before sewing the pockets and 2) use a sturdier fabric if you're going to be putting pointy things in the apron.

I used a pattern in the Sew What! Bags book.

Any other thoughts or suggestions? I still have a TON to learn and appreciate any advice from all you pros!

It looks really nice.  A tool apron is always on my list of things to make for myself that never happens lol.

that looks really cool.

Have you considered getting (or making, with fusible webbing) some iron-on patches and putting them on the inside of the pockets, even if just in the bottom to reinforce it against the scissors and other pointy bits?

Thanks everyone!

I hadn't thought of using patches at the bottom of the pockets. That's a great idea - especially for the pockets I plan to keep pointy things in. I was thinking of making the next one out of some kind of canvas fabric.
