I just finished 2 new Zombie head stitch markers. I really like the creepiness of these two.

They're polymer clay. The eyes are handpainted by me as well. Thanks for looking

These are awesome! You should make earrings like this too, they'd sell great!

Oh, I'm sorry. Were you under the impression I said they looked the exact same? Because I was not making that claim. I just love his stuff and I like this as well because it reminds me of that. His stuff does not look quite as cutesy however..sorry for the compliment Huh

One of the down sides to the internet is it's sometimes hard to tell the intent of a comment. I apologize for taking it the wrong way. I also love their art and unfortunately recently had a very negative experience with a rather fanatical fan of theirs stalking me at several sites. Based on that I guess I'm just a bit touchy.

Nice work, sorry about the fan. We do have very loyal customers so I'll apologize for any issues you've had.
You should let others know what inspired you to make these. We are both big horror fans so monsters, zombies and creatures are what we love to make. What brought you around to zombies?

Don't worry about the fan. I do understand that sometimes one comes along that's a little ..... um ...... enthusiastic. I've always loved zombie movies but kind of stuck to a more "vanilla" type of art. Guess I wanted my family to quit thinking I was so weird ..... lol. But now I'm old enough to not care what others think and decided that the dark muse that kept bugging me really needed her voice to be heard. So ghosts and witches and zombies and monsters started showing up in my art. I have sculpted gargoyles for a few years. That little oddity ended up landing me a spot on HGTV's "That's Clever" demonstrating sculpting and mold making. What a trip .... lol

What led you to zombies?

That's awesome, I like your moon and cat sculptures! I've always been super scared of zombies but of course I love zombie movies and monsters and creatures so I make what monsters I want to see.

I started out with a color I mixed myself. I prefer to use clay in the final colors my piece will be and then dab any highlights or stains onto the baked piece. I baked it according to the instructions on the package. After I apply paint I'll bake the piece a second time for 10 to 20 minutes to "set" the paint. Then I varnish the piece to protect its finish.
