I haven't been making shrinky dink jewelry for very long but after I started I got a sudden burst of inspiration from a picture of my sister and her new baby.  I have two sisters, one older and one younger, and they both had babies recently.  But my baby sister is the one that inspired this because she's the baby and now she has a baby.  Weird.  So, anyway, here are the pictures...

First I got the picture I wanted, made it black and white and cut out a piece of shrink plastic to the same size:



Next, I rounded the corners of the plastic (I know its hard to see, but its hard to take pictures of this plastic):



Then, I traced the picture onto the shiny side of the plastic with a very fine tip Sharpie and punched a hole:



Color the back with a colored pencil:



Bake it:



Then add a jump ring and a chain:



And you have a wonderful necklace.  Well, at least I think it's wonderful.

BTW I used thumbnails for most of the pictures because there were a lot of them.  You should be able to click on them to see them bigger.

I have loved looking at shrinky dinks the last few weeks, but this is fantastic, personalized and so professional looking. Amazing!!!
