I was just recently in the Small Steampunk swap, which was anything but small! Everyone went overboard it seems. Smiley Anyway, my partner wanted things of a courier costume she was in the process of acquiring and so I purchased a pattern from the wist she had and sewed up a tie on bustle for her.

I've never sewn cording into anything before, but it was actually pretty easy. Smiley I had a lot of fun and will probably make myself one. Wink

I haven't seen a bustle done with piping like that but it looks really awesome. Never would have thought to try it...maybe I will.

Craft till it hurts.

Nice bustle, love the color. I've been looking to make something like this, what pattern did you use?
